Definition
What it means.
Business credit scores use different scales than personal FICO. Dun & Bradstreet PAYDEX ranges 0–100 (80+ is strong). Experian Intelliscore ranges 0–100. FICO SBSS ranges 0–300 and is used for SBA pre-screens (requires 155+).
Business credit is built by paying vendors, leases, and existing loans on time, and by having trade references reported. It does not automatically follow from strong personal credit, a new LLC starts with no business credit history regardless of owner FICO.
