Revenue-Based Funding
Factor-rate product. Total repayment is fixed at funding and does not compound. Daily ACH draws keep cash flow predictable.
Term Loan
Fixed-rate installment loan. No balloon payment. No prepayment penalty on most ICG term loans, pay off early and save on interest.
Equipment Financing
Secured by the financed equipment, which typically unlocks lower rates and longer terms. Fixed monthly payments; title transfers on final payment.
The two pricing models
Most of the confusion in small-business funding lives here. Two pricing systems, two very different math problems. ICG quotes both, in plain dollars, before you sign.
At 1.25 on $50,000, you repay $62,500. Total cost is fixed at funding. Factor-rate products (revenue-based funding, BCA, bridge capital) do not compound and do not change if you pay off early, though ICG may discount the remaining balance on early payoff.
Used on term loans, lines of credit, equipment financing, and SBA loans. Interest accrues on the outstanding balance. Prepayment reduces total cost. Most ICG term loans have no prepayment penalty.
What moves the number
Credit profile
Personal FICO, business credit (if available), and recent inquiries. Higher scores compress the rate range downward.
Revenue quality
Monthly deposits, consistency, average daily balance, and NSF frequency. Strong, stable revenue unlocks better pricing.
Time in business
Years of operating history reduce underwriting risk. 6 months is the floor. 2+ years opens more products at lower rates.
Industry
Seasonality, margin profile, and default history by industry all move rates. High-risk industries price wider than B2B services.
