- Right to know · categories and specific pieces of personal information we have about you, our sources, and who we shared it with.
- Right to a portable copy · a structured export of the data you provided to us.
- Right to delete · subject to exceptions for information we must keep (for example, to service an active account, comply with record-keeping laws, or prevent fraud).

How we verify your identity
Before we disclose, delete, or correct personal information, we verify that the request is actually coming from you. We match the information you submit (typically name, email, and details of a prior interaction) against records we already hold. For higher-risk requests (deletion, portable copy of sensitive data) we may ask for additional details such as the last four digits of a phone number or the approximate date of an application. We never ask for your full Social Security Number or a password to verify a request.
If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we will require signed written authorization and may contact you directly to confirm the agent's authority.
Response timeline
- We acknowledge receipt within 10 business days.
- We respond with our determination within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request.
- We may extend the response window by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary; if we do, we will notify you in writing with the reason.
- If we deny a request in whole or in part, we will explain why and how to appeal where an appeal right applies under your state's law.
GLBA-exempt data
Information ICG Funding collects solely to evaluate or service a funding application is generally governed by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Most state comprehensive privacy laws exempt GLBA data from the rights above. When a request touches GLBA-exempt data we still review it, respond within the statutory window, and apply our own privacy framework described in our Privacy Policy.
